Yaren Erkaplan, 17, who was 9 months pregnant and was found shot in the head at home in Diyarbakır. It has been suggested that the young woman, who lost her life with her baby in the hospital she was taken to, may have ended her life because her husband did not allow her to go out due to jealousy.
A heartbreaking death took place in an apartment in the Yeşilburç Neighborhood of the Lice district of Diyarbakır . Yaren Erkaplan had a religious marriage with DS (23) when she was 16 years old. According to the allegations; Yaren Erkaplan, who was 9 months pregnant, put her husband’s gun to her head and fired while she was alone in her house.

When DS arrived home, she realized that the door was locked from behind and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Health, fire and police teams were dispatched to the address upon notification. The teams broke the window and entered the house and found Erkaplan shot in the head. Yaren and her unborn baby, who were taken to Lice State Hospital with serious injuries and then to Dicle University Hospital, could not be saved.
DS RELEASED AFTER TESTIMONIAL
Yaren and the baby’s bodies were buried in Lice Asri Cemetery after the autopsy procedures. DS, who was taken to the police station, was released after giving his statement.

Some family members, who did not want their names to be mentioned, claimed that her husband was very jealous of Yaren, did not allow her to leave the house, and that he may have become depressed and ended his life because of this. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
