The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and the United States, regional and global issues. President Erdoğan stated that the two countries have great potential in different areas, especially in energy and investment, and that advancing cooperation in the defense industry in particular would facilitate the achievement of the total trade volume target of $100 billion.
President Erdoğan welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, which was achieved through the efforts of US President Trump, expressed his hope that it would be permanent, and stressed the importance of close dialogue in ending the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza as soon as possible and in finding a peaceful solution to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
The two leaders stressed the importance of the steps to be taken to strengthen the deterrent power of the alliance as leading allies of NATO.
